Senator Michael O'Pake Endorses Manan Trivedi in PA 6th

Reading, Pa - Garnering the support of one of the most senior leaders in Pennsylvania politics, Manan Trivedi announced the endorsement of state Senator Michael O'Pake (D-Berks) in his bid for the 6th congressional district. Senator O'Pake's public service has spanned over four decades and he currently holds the position of Minority Whip within the Democratic Caucus.
"Over the years I have gotten to know the people of this region and I understand their needs. So when I was deciding who I was going to support as my next congressman, it was important for that person to be from my district and have that shared understanding of our people. It's clear. That person is Manan Trivedi," said Sen. O'Pake. "From his comprehensive approach for job creation to healthcare, Manan brings the fresh approach and change this district needs," O'Pake concluded.
Two of Sen. O'Pake's more prominent roles in the legislature are as the Minority Chairman for the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee and as a member of the Committee on Aging and Youth.
"I will never forget that one of my first encounters with public service was when I moderated a civics panel with Senator O'Pake in front of my entire middle school," Trivedi said. "I may not remember what issues we covered that day, but I do remember the commitment to community that he demonstrated and his dedication to educating all of us on the importance of civic duty. Senator O'Pake has never ceased in caring about his constituents and I look forward to creating a working partnership with him when I am in Congress," said Trivedi.
Manan Trivedi is a primary care physician, former Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy and Iraq War veteran from Berks County.
