Teamsters BLET Endorse Trivedi in PA 6th
Philadelphia - Manan Trivedi, Democratic candidate for congress in the PA 6th district, added the Teamsters BLET Division 231 to his list of endorsements from organized labor. Also known as "The Fighting 231," this division of the Teamsters represents locomotive engineers and trainmen in the southeast region of Pennsylvania and into New Jersey.
In a letter sent to Trivedi, division president Bob Francis stated that "[I]t is the belief of Division 231 that Dr. Trivedi represents our interests and would be the best choice for Congress."
"As the son of factory workers, I have personal experience for what the working women and men of this region go through in supporting their families," said Trivedi. "It is an honor to have the support of the Teamsters BLET and I can ensure them and all working families of our community that Washington will listen to their needs when I am in Congress."
Manan Trivedi is a primary care physician, a former Lt. Commander in the Navy and an Iraq War veteran from Berks County.
