ELVERSON, Pa - In a fundraising quarter that saw him win a competitive primary election against an opponent with a $1 million campaign effort, Manan Trivedi continued to demonstrate his momentum and grassroots support moving into the November general election by raising over $434,000.

An overwhelming amount of Trivedi's fundraising success came from online contributors during the fundraising quarter. Of his total amount raised, $218,386.63 came through online contributions, of which over 994 were from grassroots contributors who gave in amounts of $100 or less.

"We continue to build a campaign that is based on individuals who are standing up and saying they have had enough with Washington politicians like Jim Gerlach," said Trivedi. "Even in these difficult economic times that Jim Gerlach helped to create, people are sending our campaign contributions of $10, $25, $50 or whatever they can afford. They want to make a change from the Gerlach-style of broken politics where Washington and Wall Street interests are considered more important than theirs.

"Having been born and raised in Berks County I know what working families are going through and how they are struggling to get by as a result of the failed economic policies that Jim Gerlach ushered in. So it means even more to me when those same families decide to make a small contribution. It makes me want to work even harder to build a better Pennsylvania for them and get our economy moving once again," Trivedi concluded.

To fortify Trivedi's statement, Jim Gerlach raised nearly 60% percent of his contributions during the same period from large PACs and special interests that represent Wall Street financial institutions, the insurance industry, and other powerful groups from outside the 6th district. In just the last two months of the quarter, Jim Gerlach took over $250,000 dollars in PAC money.
